Round five of the Belgian National Championship was held at the MRCC track, and the event was perfectly organized by the crew members of SRCF. The weather was very nice and the competition very strong. The championship is divided into two classes: EFRA and Superstock (run with LRP 10.5 Brushless motors and LiPo batteries).
EFRA Class
In the 5-cell EFRA class, Benoit Thomaes was topping the field with two perfect runs on this huge track which is very demanding on runtime. His car was very well balanced and easy to drive.
With three wins and a 2nd place during the championship, Benoit Thomaes became the new 2008 Belgian TC EFRA class champion.
Superstock Class
In the Superstock class, the competition was very strong. Stephane Roufosse racing with an XRAY T2'008 took 2nd place in qualification and 3rd place overall. Renaud Gysenbergh (XRAY T2'008) had a very difficult time during this championship, starting 8th on the grid and finishing in 10th place. Michel Friedmann, also running an XRAY T2'008, started 10th on the grid and finished in 9th place.
